Without ground control points set out before the flight the two point clouds may not overlay perfectly, so these figures are approximate rather than exact.
The analysis runs directly on the point cloud, not on a design terrain model, so temporary items on site — vehicles, stockpiled material, plant — are counted as ground.
Volumes are measured on a 1.5 m grid: the highest point in each square is taken from both captures and the difference is summed inside the boundary. Squares only one capture covers are left out, so the area shown can be smaller than the boundary you drew. Recalculate at a finer grid from the strip above when the figures need to be tighter.
